Bárbara Fernández Cobo joins Jones Day's Government Regulation Practice as counsel in Madrid

Bárbara Fernández Cobo has joined the Firm as counsel in the Government Regulation Practice. She will be based in the Madrid Office.

Ms. Fernández Cobo has 10 years of experience providing legal representation in administrative court proceedings, commercial transactions with regulatory components, and government license and permits requirements. She has a particular focus in counseling industrial and energy clients on environmental, health, and safety regulations, including environmental assessments, integrated pollution control, environmental liability, natural resources, waste management, water, air quality, and contaminated land.

Ms. Fernández Cobo joins the Firm's global Government Regulation Practice, where she will work alongside her colleagues in Europe and around the world to counsel clients on administrative and agency litigation, government contracts, government inquiries, international trade, national security, product regulatory, and other commercial matters.

Ms. Fernández Cobo earned a law degree and a political science and public administration degree from San Pablo CEU University. She is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and teaches Environmental Law at the University Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia (ISDE), Administrative Practice on the Master Degree for Access to the Legal Profession at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), and on the Master Degree on Energy Law and Energy Transition at TECH Universidad Tecnología.
