Launched in 2003, Jones Day’s San Francisco Office has grown steadily to about 65 lawyers today. Now providing a full range of litigation and transactional services to local, national and global clients, Jones Day San Francisco has become a force in the Bay Area legal community.
The San Francisco Office offers clients the resources of not only our resident lawyers but also one of the world's best and most geographically-diverse law firms. Jones Day's “One Firm Worldwide” structure enables San Francisco lawyers to collaborate seamlessly with the Firm's 2,500 lawyers in offices across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia. We work closely with our other California offices to provide regional support to our clients.
The attorneys in San Francisco support our clients with litigation strengths in antitrust, construction law, intellectual property, securities litigation, white collar crime, insurance recovery, labor and employment, product liability, environmental, global disputes, appellate work, and international human rights litigation. Our corporate capabilities include banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, health care, real estate, tax, and bankruptcy and restructuring.
As part of our commitment to the City of San Francisco and the Bay Area, our lawyers participate in or serve on the boards of a broad array of public service, cultural, civic and charitable organizations. These groups include local bar associations, pro bono and legal aid societies, the San Francisco Food Bank, the AIDS Legal Referral Panel and the San Francisco Symphony. We advise clients regarding asylum, criminal appeals, and nonprofit incorporation, among others. As part of our community outreach, students from Immaculate Conception Academy’s Cristo Rey program and the San Francisco Law Academy learn skills in our office through job training.
