Jones Day's Mexico City Office, which opened in January 2009, is one of Mexico's largest international firms, with approximately 60 lawyers providing legal services to domestic and international clients doing business in Mexico and throughout the world. Sweeping governmental reforms have led to increased interest and investment in Mexico from all over the world. Jones Day lawyers are at the forefront of the reforms, advising our clients in a variety of inbound and outbound matters.

Our Mexico City lawyers focus on M&A; Banking & Finance; Antitrust & Competition; Capital Markets; Energy; Real Estate; Labor & Employment; Tax; Projects & Infrastructure; Government Regulation; Environmental Health & Safety; International Trade; Cybersecurity, Privacy, & Data Protection; and Global Disputes.

The Mexico City Office plays a critical role in the Firm's Latin America Practice working closely with colleagues in São Paulo, Miami, Houston, Madrid, and New York, and as well as with those in our other offices in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, in connection with matters in Mexico and throughout the region. The Firm's clients have the benefit of the One Firm Worldwide approach to the delivery of legal services from an integrated global network of offices that includes more than 130 lawyers working on Latin America matters. Many of our lawyers have consistently been selected for inclusion in the Chambers Latin America, Chambers Global, and Legal 500 Latin America legal directories.

Our Mexico City attorneys not only are dedicated to the service of clients in Mexico and internationally, but also devote time to important local social issues and cultural organizations. The office is actively involved in supporting microfinance for low income families and other non-profit organizations, including Un Kilo de Ayuda, the largest program devoted to fighting malnutrition among Mexican children under five years of age, and Grameen Trust Mexico (a joint venture with the Fundación Carlos Slim), in order to help the disadvantaged in Mexico gain access to greater income and life-quality-improvement opportunities as well as supporting Appleseed Mexico and Risaterapia.
