Jones Day recognized with Human Rights Practitioner Award by the National Immigrant Justice Center

June 2018

Jones Day was awarded the Human Rights Practitioner Award by the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) for the Firm’s work providing representation to non-detained individuals and for launching a national project to represent detained immigrant women in Laredo, Texas.

Through Jones Day’s support "NICJ has been able to protect the safety and security of hundreds of immigrants and their families. Thank you for your leadership and dedication," said NIJC Executive Director Mary Meg McCarthy. NIJC is a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring human rights protections and access to justice for all immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.

Jones Day was honored at NIJC’s 19th Annual Human Rights Awards Luncheon held on June 19, 2018 at Chicago’s Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile. The luncheon honored human rights champions and celebrated the contributions of business, civil, and philanthropic leaders.
