Hilda Galvan, a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice and Partner-in-Charge of the Dallas Office, has been selected as a member of the Dallas Theater Center Board of Trustees. Founded in 1959, the Dallas Theater Center is one of the country's oldest regional theatres. For almost 60 years, its innovative programming has made a significant and lasting mark in the Dallas community and the American theater at large. In 2017, the Dallas Theater Center received a prestigious 2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award.
Ms. Galvan is a nationally recognized trial lawyer who focuses on complex intellectual property litigation. For 25 years, she has represented plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts across the country and in the International Trade Commission. She has litigated more than 100 patent cases, with 50+ in the Eastern District of Texas.
The depth and breadth of Ms. Galvan's experience in technology and intellectual property law allows her to provide strategic counsel to clients. IAM magazine identified her as a "powerhouse litigator" and lauded her "extensive experience in big-ticket patent litigation." Ms. Galvan serves the community and nonprofit organizations in multiple ways. Most recently, she has served as a trustee for the University of Texas Law School Foundation; a board member of the Dallas Women's Foundation, Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation, and Parkland Hospital Foundation Board; a member of the Executive Committee for the Center for Women in the Law; and Immediate Past Chair of the Board of the Dallas Regional Chamber.
