Jones Day associate Serena A. Rwejuna has been selected to the 2019 Super Lawyers Rising Stars List in Washington D.C. for the third consecutive year. Serena has experience representing energy companies and individual traders before agencies including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. She also counsels utilities, generators, pipelines, natural gas distribution companies, and other energy industry participants on compliance with FERC regulations, as well as advising them on regulatory compliance issues.
Serena serves as vice president for the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy. She also serves on the Energy Bar Association Compliance and Enforcement Committee. She is a member of the Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy, the Women's Council on Energy & the Environment, and the Women's Energy Network. Serena also serves on the Executive Committee for the Calvary Women's Services Board of Directors and on the DukeDC Regional Board of Directors.
