Partner Charles Chau admitted as a Serving Brother of The Order of St John

Jones Day's M&A partner Charles Chau (Hong Kong) was honored by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom on May 25, 2018, with admission to The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem (commonly known as "The Order of St John") as a Serving Brother, in recognition of his outstanding service to the St John Ambulance Brigade of Hong Kong.

The Order of St John, apart from being an order of chivalry of the British Crown, is a major international charity, accredited at the United Nations, which provides first aid, health care, and support services in over 40 countries around the world. Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom is its Sovereign Head.

Charles Chau is a M&A partner of Jones Day's Hong Kong Office. He started his volunteer service at St John in 2006, and is currently a regional vice-president and the chairman of the officers' mess of the Hong Kong Island Command of the St John Ambulance Brigade of Hong Kong.
