Jones Day's Richard H. Deane, Jr. elected to American College of Trial Lawyers' Board of Regents

Richard H. Deane, Jr., Partner-in-Charge of the Atlanta Office of the global law firm Jones Day, was elected to the Board of Regents of the American College of Trial Lawyers during the organization's 67th Annual Meeting in Montreal. A former Chair of the College's Georgia State Committee, Mr. Deane will serve as Regent for Region 7, representing Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

Mr. Deane represents clients facing criminal or civil investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice and other enforcement agencies. He has extensive experience in federal grand jury investigations, trying cases in state and federal courts, and appearing before the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal. He also works on general corporate litigation matters. Prior to Jones Day, Mr. Deane's government service experience included his appointment as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia.

A member of the State Bar of Georgia, Mr. Deane was recently named by the Bar's bench and bar committee as the attorney recipient of the 12th Annual Chief Justice Thomas O. Marshall Professionalism Award. His work as a litigator has been recognized by The Daily Report, Best Lawyers in America, and Chambers USA.
