Braden McCurrach joins Jones Day as partner in Corporate Practice

Braden McCurrach has joined the Firm as a partner in the Corporate Practice. He will be based in the New York Office.

Mr. McCurrach advises companies on a wide range of complex transactions, including public and private mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, tender offers, spinoffs, and joint ventures, as well as distressed M&A. He also has significant experience advising boards on governance matters, including in connection with proxy contests and shareholder activism, and has advised a number of companies in successful defenses against activist campaigns.

"Braden has advised clients in their most important corporate transactions and is a highly sought-after counselor to boards of directors in high-stakes governance matters," said Andy Levine, Co-Leader of the Corporate Practice. "His experience working on large-scale transactions and defending against activist campaigns is an excellent addition to our global team, and we are very happy to have him at Jones Day, and in New York in particular."

At Jones Day, Mr. McCurrach joins the Firm's global Corporate Practice, which encompasses M&A and Private Equity. Jones Day consistently ranks among the top law firms in M&A and private equity representations in published league tables, and over the last 20 years the Firm has acted on more deals than any other law firm in the world.

Mr. McCurrach earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and his undergraduate degree from Duke University. He was named as a "Key Individual" for his work in M&A: Large Deals by The Legal 500 US.
